Anmeldung & Teilnehmendenbegrenzung

An dem Workshop "Meine Kompetenzbilanz" und "Gut vorbereitet ins Vorstellungsgespräch" können maximal 15 Studierende teilenhmen.

Sollten bei Anmeldeschluss noch Plätze frei sein, bleibt die Anmeldemöglichkeit auch nach Anmeldeschluss weiter bestehen.

Grundsätzlich ist es möglich, aber nicht notwendig, an allen Veranstaltungen der Winter School teilzunehmen: Die einzelnen Workshops bauen zwar aufeinander auf, es ist jedoch auch möglich, nur an ausgewählten Workshops teilzunehmen.

Alle Workshops stehen Studierenden aller Fachbereiche offen.

Sie können mithilfe Ihrer Hochschulzugangsdaten sehr einfach ein Profil im Career Center erstellen. Nachdem Sie Ihr Profil erstellt haben, ist die Anmeldung zu den Veranstaltungen möglich.

Meine Kompetenzbilanz, Teil 1

Über 60 % aller weltweit befragten Arbeitgeber sind der Meinung, Bewerber:innen könnten ihre Kompetenzen besser darstellen. Damit Sie zu den Kandidat:innen gehören, die mit ihren Bewerbungsunterlagen diesbezüglich überzeugen können, sollten Sie sich Ihrer Kompetenzen natürlich erst einmal bewusst sein, um diese dann besser darstellen und belegen zu können, als andere Bewerber:innen.

In diesem Workshop wird es deshalb darum gehen, Sie dabei zu unterstützen, 

• Ihre Kompetenzen zu erfassen, 
• Ihre Kompetenzen darzustellen und zu belegen,
• berufliche Ziele und nächste Schritte zu bestimmen.

Jobsuche & Social Networking

Sie wissen, was Sie beruflich machen wollen, fragen sich aber, wie und wo Sie nach passenden Stellen für sich suchen können?

In diesem Workshop werden verschiedene Strategien der Jobsuche vermittelt, um Sie dabei zu unterstützen, die eigene Jobsuche effizient und effektiv zu gestalten.

Darüber hinaus wird die Entwicklung eines schlüssigen und überzeugenden Online-Karriereprofils bei LinkedIn im Fokus stehen.

Wie schreibe ich eine überzeugende Bewerbung?

In diesem Workshop dreht sich alles um die erfolgreiche Bewerbung.

Sie lernen, wie Sie Stellenangebote richtig analysieren und verstehen, um Ihre Bewerbung auf eine ausgeschriebene Stelle optimal zuschneiden zu können, welche Dokumente zu einer Bewerbung gehören und welche formalen Standards es zu beachten gilt. Den Lebenslauf - die Visitenkarte Ihrer Bewerbung - und das Anschreiben/Motivationsschreiben nehmen wir dabei intensiv unter die Lupe. Dabei lernen Sie auch, wie Sie Story Telling in Ihrer Bewerbung optimal nutzen können und wie Sie Kompetenzen überzeugend in Ihre Bewerbung integrieren.

Der Workshop richtet sich insbesondere an Studierende, die noch wenig über die Erstellung aussagekräftiger Bewerbungsunterlagen wissen, richtet sich aber auch an Studierende, die überprüfen möchten, ob ihre Unterlagen aktuellen Standards genügen.

Gut vorbereitet ins Vorstellungsgespräch

Wie läuft ein Vorstellungsgespräch ab, wie überzeuge ich im Gespräch? Diese Frage treibt viele Bewerber:innen um.

In diesem Workshop gehen wir auf den Ablauf von Vorstellungsgesprächen ein und simulieren Teile von Vorstellungsgesprächen wie bspw. die Selbstpräsentation. Teilnehmende erhalten in Kleingruppen Gelegenheit, ihre Selbstpräsentation zu üben und sich auf Gesprächssimulationen vorzubereiten.

Im Anschluss besteht für 2-3 Teilnehmende die Möglichkeit, sich selbst zu präsentieren und Feedback dazu zu erhalten. Daran anschließen können sich 2-3 Gesprächssimulationen (Eingehen auf Fragen seitens des Unternehmens zur individuellen Bewerbung) mit darauffolgender gemeinsamer Reflexion.

So bereiten Sie sich in geschütztem Rahmen auf Ihr erstes/nächstes Vorstellungsgespräch vor!

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an einer der Simulationsübungen ist, dass Sie bis zum 10.02.2025 Ihren Lebenslauf (und wenn Sie sich auf ein konkretes Vorstellungsgespräch vorbereiten möchten die Stellenanzeige) per E-Mail an den Career Service schicken: career-service@th-owl.de. Darüber hinaus müssten Sie sich bereiterklären, Ihren Lebenslauf (und ggf. das Stellenangebot) via Screen Sharing mit den anderen Teilnehmenden zu teilen. Scheuen Sie sich nicht, Ihren Lebenslauf so, wie er ist, abzuschicken und beschönigen Sie bitte nichts. In diesem Workshop soll es grade darum gehen, Ihnen Tipps an die Hand zu geben, wie Sie sich im Vorstellungsgespräch zu Ihrem Lebenslauf positiv erklären können.

Target Group

International students from all departments, who are about to graduate shortly and start working. But also students, who are seeking occupational orientation or want to prepare for their transition from university to working life in Germany.

Registration & Limitations

For the workshops "My Skill Profile" and "Fit for the Job Interview" a maximum of 15 students can participate in each workshop. Registration is mandatory for all workshops.

If there are available places after registration deadline has passed, registration possibilities will be still open.

It is possible to participate in all workshops, which is recommendable, since they build on each other in terms of content. But it is also possible to participate in individual workshops, which you select.

My Skill Profile, Part One

In order for you to be one of the candidates who can convince with your application documents in this respect, you should of course first be aware of your skills so that you can then present and prove them better than other applicants.

This workshop will therefore focus on helping you to

Job Search & Social Networking

You know what you want to do professionally, but are wondering how and where you can look for suitable jobs for yourself?

This workshop will teach you various job search strategies to help you organize your own job search efficiently and effectively.

In addition, the focus will be on developing a coherent and convincing online career profile on LinkedIn.

How to write convincing application documents

This workshop is all about successful job applications.

You will learn how to analyze and understand job offers correctly in order to tailor your application to an advertised position, which documents should be included in an application and which formal standards need to be observed. We take a close look at the CV - the key element of your application - and the cover letter/motivation letter. You will also learn how to make the best use of storytelling in your application and how to integrate your skills convincingly into your application.

The workshop is aimed in particular at students who still know little about creating convincing application documents, but is also aimed at students who want to check whether their documents meet current standards.

Fit for the Job Interview

How does a job interview work, how do I convince in an interview? This question is on the minds of many applicants.

In this workshop, we will look at the interview process and simulate parts of job interviews, such as the self-presentation. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their self-presentation in small groups and prepare for interview simulations.

Afterwards, 2-3 participants have the opportunity to present themselves and receive feedback. This can be followed by 2-3 interview simulations (responding to questions from the company about the individual application) with subsequent joint reflection.

In this way, you can prepare for your first/next job interview in a protected environment!

Note:
A prerequisite for participating in one of the simulation exercises is that you send your CV (and if you would like to prepare for a specific job interview, the job advertisement) by e-mail to the Career Service by February 17, 2025: career-service@th-owl.de. In addition, you must agree to share your CV (and, if applicable, the job offer) with the other participants via screen sharing. Do not be afraid to send your CV as it is and please do not embellish anything. The aim of this workshop is to give you tips on how to explain your CV in a positive light during the interview.
