  text: Dieser Beitrag diskutiert den Stand der aktuellen Belastungs- und Beanspruchungsforschung.
    Dabei werden insbesondere die zunehmend eingesetzten objektiven, meist auch mobil
    einsetzbaren Instrumente zur Erfassung von körperlichen und mentalen Beanspruchungen
    sowohl im Labor als auch am Arbeitsplatz kritisch reflektiert. Nach einem Blick
    auf die immer noch vorhandenen definitorischen Probleme in der Stressforschung
    betrachten wir wichtige methodische Herausforderungen und neue theoretische Entwicklungen
    in der Stressforschung. Abschließend werden die neun Beiträge in diesem Heft mit
    Blick auf ihre zentralen Anliegen und wichtigsten Ergebnisse zusammengefasst.

  text: This article discusses the state of current research on stress. In particular,
    the increasingly used objective, mostly mobile deployable instruments for the
    detection of physical and mental strain used in the laboratory and at the workplace
    are critically reflected. After looking at the still existing definitional problems
    in stress research, we consider important methodological challenges and new theoretical
    developments. Finally, the nine articles in this special issue are summarized
    with regard to their central concerns and main findings.
