The HUMAN workshop has a strong focus on the user and thus is complementary to the strong machine analytics research direction that could be experienced in previous conferences. The user-centric view on hypertext not only includes user interfaces and interaction, but also discussions about hypertext application domains as well as human-centered AI. Furthermore, the workshop raises the question of how original hypertext ideas (e. g., Doug Engelbart’s \"augmenting human intellect\" [7] or Jeff Conklin’s \"hypertext as a computer-based medium for thinking and communication\" [6]) can improve today’s hypertext systems."}],"keyword":["user interfaces","information structuring","decision making","human-centered AI","cognitive aspects","scientific community","digital humanities","user interaction","human factors","user-centric","annotation","adaptive hypertext","hypermedia","collaboration","information systems","augmentation","hypertext","communication","intercultural aspects"],"_id":"12994","publication":"Proceedings of the 34th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media","status":"public","department":[{"_id":"DEP8000"}],"user_id":"83781","year":"2023","series_title":"HT '23","title":"HUMAN’23: 6th Workshop on Human Factors in Hypertext","date_updated":"2025-06-18T13:29:06Z","doi":"10.1145/3603163.3610576","publication_status":"published","date_created":"2025-06-18T13:24:37Z","publisher":"ACM","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"citation":{"apa":"Rubart, J., & Atzenbeck, C. Insbesondere bei großen Teilnehmerzahlen können hohe Serverlasten zu Beginn und Ende der Prüfung auftreten, wenn viele Teilnehmer zur selben Zeit größere Dateien herunter- oder hochladen. Nonetheless, investigations of trends in publication behavior and emergence as well as changes in IS research are usually narrowly focused. This article contributes to the growing number of articles published in the IS domain by analyzing the evolution of trends and major research fields as well as the regional distribution of publications in the AIS Senior Scholars' Basket of Eight (AIS Bo8) and the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), changes in publication behavior, and the emergence of as well as changes to IS research fields and trends. Our semi-automated literature review integrates scientific methods to support the review and classification of publications. Based on 6692 articles published in the ICIS proceedings and the AIS Bo8 journals in a period of 16 years, we elaborate the key characteristics of research development. Our contribution provides and interprets a contemporaneous account of contextual factors influencing the IS research domain. Thus, our study enhances understanding of the development of the IS research domain."}],"page":"94"},{"date_updated":"2024-07-18T13:42:49Z","title":"What Information Does Your EHR Contain? In this regard, reusing healthcare data for secondary purposes offers several advantages (e.g. reduce documentation times or increased data quality). Prerequisites for data reuse are its quality, availability and identical meaning of data. In diverse projects, research data warehouses serve as core components between heterogeneous clinical databases and various research applications. Given the complexity (high number of data elements) and dynamics (regular updates) of electronic health record (EHR) data structures, we propose a clinical metadata warehouse (CMDW) based on a metadata registry standard. Metadata of two large hospitals were automatically inserted into two CMDWs containing 16,230 forms and 310,519 data elements. Automatic updates of metadata are possible as well as semantic annotations. A CMDW allows metadata discovery, data quality assessment and similarity analyses. Common data models for distributed research networks can be established based on similarity analyses."}],"page":"313-317","user_id":"83781","year":"2017","department":[{"_id":"DEP5024"}],"status":"public","publication":"Studies in health technology and informatics"}]
