While national anthems are traditionally institutionalized and state-legitimized, urban anthems often emerge from popular culture and civil society. The study explores how such musical works contribute to collective identification and local belonging.\r\n\r\nThe theoretical framework traces the historical development of the anthem from ancient hymns of praise to modern national representations, followed by an analytical examination of selected city and club anthems. Particular attention is given to musical structure, lyrical content, and social function, highlighting characteristics such as accessibility, repetitive structures, and communal singability.\r\n\r\nBased on these findings, the practical component of the thesis consists of the composition and production of an original urban anthem entitled “A Song for Bielefeld.” The project aims to implement the identified structural and thematic features while reflecting values of community, tolerance, and diversity.\r\n\r\nThe thesis demonstrates that urban anthems function as hybrid forms between popular music and social symbolism. Detmold: Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, 2025."},"abstract":[{"text":"Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit untersucht die zentrale Forschungsfrage, ob der Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz heute und in der Zukunft maßgebliche Auswirkungen auf die kreativen und produktiven Prozesse in der Musikproduktion der E-Musik hat. Ausgehend von einer historischen Einordnung, die bis in die 1950er Jahre zurückreicht, analysiert die Arbeit aktuelle Entwicklungen und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten von KI in diesem spezifischen musikalischen Bereich. Dabei werden sowohl technische Grundlagen als auch die enge Verbindung zwischen Musik und Mathematik beleuchtet, die den Einsatz von KI in der Musikproduktion ermöglichen.\r\nEin besonderer Fokus liegt auf der empirischen Untersuchung mittels qualitativer Interviews mit Experten aus dem Bereich der E-Musik. Diese offenbaren, dass KI gegenwärtig primär als unterstützendes Werkzeug wahrgenommen und eingesetzt wird, wobei sich deutliche Unterschiede zwischen kommerzieller Musik und E-Musik abzeichnen. Während für den kommerziellen Bereich tiefgreifende Veränderungen erwartet werden, prognostizieren die Experten für die E-Musik eine stabilere Entwicklung.\r\nDie Arbeit identifiziert zentrale Herausforderungen bei der Integration von KI, insbesondere bei der Übersetzung künstlerischer Ideen in maschinenverständliche Anweisungen sowie der Wahrung künstlerischer Authentizität. Gleichzeitig werden neue Möglichkeiten der Produktionsunterstützung und kreativen Inspiration aufgezeigt.
