The method combines model-based and data-driven techniques to decompose ODDs into three key components: environmental, scenery, and dynamic elements. It then applies prompt engineering to generate ScenarioRunner scripts compatible with CARLA. The model-based component guides the LLM using structured prompts and a “Tree of Thoughts” strategy to outline the scenario, while a data-driven refinement process, drawing inspiration from red teaming, enhances the accuracy and robustness of the generated scripts over time. Experimental results show that while static components, such as weather and road layouts, are well captured, dynamic elements like vehicle and pedestrian behavior require further refinement. Overall, this approach not only reduces the manual effort involved in creating simulation scenarios but also identifies key challenges and opportunities for advancing safer and more adaptive autonomous driving systems."}],"issue":"16","department":[{"_id":"DEP5023"},{"_id":"DEP5000"}],"intvolume":" 14","user_id":"83781","type":"scientific_journal_article","_id":"13120","doi":"10.3390/electronics14163177","place":"Basel","volume":14,"citation":{"ufg":"Danso, Aaron Agyapong/Büker, Ulrich: Automated Generation of Test Scenarios for Autonomous Driving Using LLMs, in: Electronics 14 (2025), H. 16, S. 3177.","havard":"A.A. Despite efforts to regulate online platforms and limit the spread of misinformation, many individuals are left behind because of their low digital literacy, level of education, and other contributing factors. In this context, we explore the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) to identify misinformation and we evaluate the capabilities of GPT-4.1-mini, as a representative example of these models. We then discuss how LLMs can help empower users to critically create and share information, thereby fostering more resilient online communities. We also present a set of possible interaction patterns for content creation and moderation."}],"publisher":"ACM","quality_controlled":"1","publication":"Proceedings of the 2025 International Conference on Information Technology for Social Good","publication_identifier":{"isbn":["979-8-4007-2089-5"]},"date_created":"2026-03-20T12:55:35Z","date_updated":"2026-03-24T10:01:35Z","corporate_editor":["Association for Computing Machinery"],"editor":[{"last_name":"Marquez-Barja","first_name":"Johann","full_name":"Marquez-Barja, Johann"},{"last_name":"Bujari","first_name":"Armir","full_name":"Bujari, Armir"},{"last_name":"Slamnik-Kriještorac","full_name":"Slamnik-Kriještorac, Nina","first_name":"Nina"},{"last_name":"Sabbioni","full_name":"Sabbioni, Andrea","first_name":"Andrea"}],"oa":"1","keyword":["misinformation","fake news","large language models","online social networks"],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"title":"Preventing Accidental Sharing of Misinformation Using Large Language Models","citation":{"din1505-2-1":"Franco, Mirko ; Grimm, Valentin ; Herder, Eelco ; Marquez-Barja, J. ; Bujari, A. ; Slamnik-Kriještorac, N. ; Sabbioni, A. ; Association for Computing Machinery (Hrsg.): Preventing Accidental Sharing of Misinformation Using Large Language Models. One shortcoming is the effort necessary to author and create these stories, especially complex storylines with choices for the readers. Based on recent advances in Natural Language Processing (NLP), new opportunities arise for assistance systems in the context of interactive stories. In our work, we present an authoring approach and prototypical tool for the creation of visual comic-strip like interactive stories, a type of hypercomics, that integrate an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistance. Such comics are already used in our Gekonnt hanDeln web platform. The AI assistance provides suggestions for the overall story outline as well as how to design and write individual story frames. We provide a detailed description about the approach and its prototypical implementation. Furthermore, we present a study evaluating the prototype with student groups and how the prototype evolved in an iterative style based on the students’ feedback.","lang":"eng"}],"department":[{"_id":"DEP8008"},{"_id":"DEP8008"}],"conference":{"end_date":"2024-09-13","start_date":"2024-09-10","name":"35th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media","location":"Poznan, Poland"},"user_id":"83781","type":"conference_editor_article","doi":"10.1145/3648188.3675124","_id":"12048","place":"New York, USA","citation":{"short":"V. To test the generality of the method, we used DO% data collected in a standardised pan-European mesocosm experiment with contrasting trophic states and water levels covering a large climate gradient (from Sweden to Turkey). We corroborated these data with process-based DO simulations. The NEP ~ DO% relation depended on factors influencing gas transfer: water depth and wind. The NEP ~ DO% relation per volume became weaker with increasing depth (1–2 m) but was independent of depth when area based. Simulations indicated that the marginalisation of the depth was sensitive to wind conditions. Trophic status, temperature and light showed no or only marginal (climate zone) effects (experimental data), while the simulations indicated influence of those factors under particular wind–depth conditions. We confirmed that when considering also wind and depth effects, midday DO% potentially provides reliable estimates of daily NEP. Therefore, historical monitoring data of DO% might be used to estimate NEP, and process-based oxygen models may be valuable tool therein. We encourage further tests."}],"issue":"2","department":[{"_id":"DEP8022"}],"publication_status":"published","isi":"1","doi":"10.1007/s10750-024-05714-z","_id":"12209","place":"Dordrecht [u.a.]","intvolume":" 852","user_id":"83781","type":"scientific_journal_article"},{"citation":{"ama":"Ramm S, Hernández Rodriguez T, Frahm B, Pein-Hackelbusch M. Systematic Preprocessing of Dielectric Spectroscopy Data and Estimating Viable Cell Densities. Literature, however, does not provide systematic preprocessing strategies. The effects of five different preprocessing strategies on data from a Dielectric Spectroscopy system applied to the Viable Cell Density (VCD) of a mammalian cell cultivation were thus evaluated. Single-frequency measurements are typically used to model the VCD over the growth phase using linear regression or the Cole-Cole model and served as a reference. As multi-frequency measurement is promising to model the VCD beyond the growth phase using Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR), we further aimed to determine, whether replacing linear regression by PLSR shows comparable modeling performance. All five preprocessing strategies led to comparable results. Exemplary, when using capacitance values at a frequency of 3347 kHz, linear regression resulted in a R2 of 0.90 and a standard deviation of 0.4 % on average. Both normalization techniques had the same positive effect on the results of PLSR. The order of smoothing and normalization was irrelevant for both regression methods. Comparing the results of linear regression and PLSR, the latter obtained on average 9 % better results. Therefore, we concluded that PLSR is preferable over linear regression and is potentially suitable to model the VCD beyond the growth phase, which is suggested to be investigated based on more data sets.","lang":"eng"}],"user_id":"83781","type":"conference_editor_article","place":"[Piscataway, NJ]","doi":"10.1109/INDIN51400.2023.10218012","_id":"10788"},{"keyword":["extracurricular activities","extracurricular learning formats","student workshops","workshop models","pedagogical models","architectural higher education","mass housing neighbourhoods","sustainable rehabilitation"],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2025-06-24T13:35:15Z","publication":"Sustainability","publication_identifier":{"eissn":["2071-1050"]},"date_created":"2025-06-24T13:32:32Z","status":"public","year":"2023","author":[{"orcid":"0000-0002-6962-5223","full_name":"Dragutinovic, Anica","id":"68875","last_name":"Dragutinovic","first_name":"Anica"},{"last_name":"Milovanovic","first_name":"Aleksandra","full_name":"Milovanovic, Aleksandra"},{"last_name":"Stojanovski","full_name":"Stojanovski, Mihajlo","first_name":"Mihajlo"},{"last_name":"Damjanovska","first_name":"Tea","full_name":"Damjanovska, Tea"},{"last_name":"Đorđevic","first_name":"Aleksandra","full_name":"Đorđevic, Aleksandra"},{"last_name":"Nikezic","first_name":"Ana","full_name":"Nikezic, Ana"},{"first_name":"Uta","last_name":"Pottgiesser","full_name":"Pottgiesser, Uta","id":"27166","orcid":"0000-0002-8594-3168"},{"full_name":"Ivanovska Deskova, Ana","first_name":"Ana","last_name":"Ivanovska Deskova"},{"last_name":"Ivanovski","full_name":"Ivanovski, Jovan","first_name":"Jovan"}],"volume":15,"citation":{"apa":"Dragutinovic, A., Milovanovic, A., Stojanovski, M., Damjanovska, T., Đorđevic, A., Nikezic, A., Pottgiesser, U., Ivanovska Deskova, A., & Ivanovski, J. The specific objective of this study is to enhance and test different pedagogical models for learning on the sustainable rehabilitation of mass housing neighbourhoods (MHN), as a specific type of modern heritage, through innovative extracurricular teaching practices based on interdisciplinarity, flexibility, and adaptability. This research presents three student workshops focusing on the rehabilitation of mass housing neighbourhoods (MHN), involving students, academics, and professionals from the field, organised in Germany, Serbia, and North Macedonia in 2022. Moreover, it engages a comparative analysis of the learning formats and approaches developed within this discipline-specific cross-border collaboration. The study provides (1) an insight into the comparative analysis of learning capabilities and (2) the formulation of workshop models supported by diagramming of the workshop structure. The conclusion of the article summarises the findings and highlights the essential aspects for engaging student workshops, as an instrument for generating operational knowledge in the field of mass housing rehabilitation."}],"department":[{"_id":"DEP1600"}],"publication_status":"published"},{"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"keyword":["safety","security","alignment","automation","processes","models"],"date_created":"2021-12-23T17:37:45Z","publication_identifier":{"issn":["0932-383X"],"eissn":["1613-7620"]},"publication":"Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik : e & i","date_updated":"2025-06-26T13:28:58Z","author":[{"first_name":"Marco","last_name":"Ehrlich","full_name":"Ehrlich, Marco","id":"61562"},{"full_name":"Bröring, Andre","id":"65130","last_name":"Bröring","first_name":"Andre"},{"id":"69147","full_name":"Harder, Dimitri","last_name":"Harder","first_name":"Dimitri"},{"full_name":"Auhagen-Meyer, Torben","first_name":"Torben","last_name":"Auhagen-Meyer"},{"first_name":"Philip","last_name":"Kleen","full_name":"Kleen, Philip","id":"44776"},{"first_name":"Lukasz","full_name":"Wisniewski, Lukasz","last_name":"Wisniewski","id":"1710"},{"first_name":"Henning","id":"1486","last_name":"Trsek","full_name":"Trsek, Henning","orcid":"0000-0002-0133-0656"},{"first_name":"Jürgen","last_name":"Jasperneite","full_name":"Jasperneite, Jürgen","id":"1899"}],"year":"2021","external_id":{"isi":["000696142100001"]},"page":"454-461","status":"public","title":"Alignment of safety and security risk assessments for modular production systems","volume":138,"citation":{"havard":"M. The construction is fully algorithmic via Grobner bases and it does not employ any approximation. It builds these priors combining two parametrizations via a pullback: the first parametrizes the solutions for the system of differential equations and the second parametrizes all functions adhering to the boundary conditions.","lang":"eng"}],"quality_controlled":"1","publisher":"MLResearchPress ","date_created":"2025-04-14T13:58:16Z","publication_identifier":{"issn":["2640-3498"]},"publication":"24th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Statistics (AISTATS)","date_updated":"2025-06-26T13:42:36Z","editor":[{"last_name":"Banerjee","full_name":"Banerjee, A.","first_name":"A."},{"first_name":"K.","full_name":"Fukumizu, K.","last_name":"Fukumizu"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"keyword":["FUNCTIONAL REGRESSION","PREDICTION","ALGORITHMS","COMPLEXITY","MODELS"],"title":"Linearly Constrained Gaussian Processes with Boundary Conditions","volume":130,"citation":{"short":"M. Therefore, we present a method that incorporates Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations where virtual components as models are coupled to real and experimental facilities in real time. By including experimental components, a higher validity can be obtained and the practical applicability of renewable energy scenario can be discussed more profoundly. In this paper, the considered energy system consists of an experimental biocatalytic methanation reactor, a real photovoltaic park, a regenerative fuel cell and short-term storage units to supply a residential district. A representative control sequence of the methanator is obtained by modeling the scenario as an optimal control problem. A first HIL simulation highlights that modifications of the instrumentation are required for a grid injection of the generated methane. The scientific approach can be applied to any energy system where some of the considered components are available as experimental or real facilities. Non-exisiting components are simply replaced by models. The presented approach helps to determine which parts or process parameters are crucial for the planed operation before the overall energy system is realized on a larger scale. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. However, these systems have to be seen from a broader angle, incorporating several other environmental factors such as the organizational structure or human factors. For this reason, the technology cannot be seen as solitary system, but should rather be included in the context of a scenario of work 4.0. These scenarios can help to classify new technologies, their advantages and constraints in order to provide guidance for the digital development of organizations. While several frameworks have been proposed in terms of technological guidance, most of them focus heavily on technology, neglecting their organizational- and human factors. In order to form a uniform understanding of the construct of industry 4.0, we developed an instrument for rating scenarios of work 4.0 on the relevant dimensions 'technology', 'human' and 'organization'. This paper describes the chosen relevant criteria including possible constraints we encountered. Future work on this topic will include the creation of profiles of scenarios of work 4.0, further validation of the criteria.","lang":"eng"}],"conference":{"location":"Corfu, Greece","name":"11th ACM International Conference on PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments ; PETRA 2018 ","start_date":"2018-06-26","end_date":"2018-06-29"},"department":[{"_id":"DEP5023"}],"user_id":"15514","type":"conference","doi":"10.1145/3197768.3201566","_id":"4326","place":"New York","citation":{"van":"Jenderny S, Foullois M, Kato-Beiderwieden A-L, Bansmann M, Wöste L, Lamß J, et al. The approach proposed in this study uses advantages of the Asset Administration Shell, machine learning, and human-machine interaction in order to create the assistance system which holistically addresses the issue of troubleshooting complex industrial systems."}],"conference":{"name":"14th IEEE International Workshop on Factory Communication Systems (WFCS)","location":"Imperia, Italy ","start_date":"2018-06-13","end_date":"2018-06-15"},"department":[{"_id":"DEP5023"},{"_id":"DEP5019"}],"user_id":"45673","type":"conference","doi":"10.1109/WFCS.2018.8402380","_id":"4327","place":"Piscataway, NJ"},{"_id":"4495","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.1078965","place":"[S.l.]","intvolume":" 41","user_id":"15514","type":"conference","publisher":"World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology, WASET","abstract":[{"lang":"eng","text":"This paper illustrates why existing technology acceptance models are only of limited use for predicting and explaining the adoption of future information and communication technologies. It starts with a general overview over technology adoption processes, and presents several theories for the acceptance as well as adoption of traditional information technologies. This is followed by an overview over the recent developments in the area of information and communication technologies. Based on the arguments elaborated in these sections, it is shown why the factors used to predict adoption in existing systems, will not be sufficient for explaining the adoption of future information and communication technologies."}],"issue":"5","conference":{"start_date":"2010-05-26","end_date":"2010-05-28","name":" International Conference on Intelligent Systems (ICIS'10)","location":"Tokyo, Japan"},"department":[{"_id":"DEP5023"}],"publication_status":"published","series_title":" International Journal of Information and Communication Engineering","keyword":["Technology Diffusion","Technology Acceptance Models","Ambient Intelligence","Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing"],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2023-03-15T13:49:53Z","publication":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Intelligent Systems (ICIS'10), Part 1","publication_identifier":{"eissn":["1307-6892"],"eisbn":["978-0-615-41898-8"]},"date_created":"2021-01-21T09:21:28Z","status":"public","page":"490 - 496","author":[{"full_name":"Röcker, Carsten","id":"61525","last_name":"Röcker","first_name":"Carsten"}],"year":2010,"citation":{"short":"C.
