Drawing on a sample of 604 fintech companies and 802 banks, we compile an unbalanced panel dataset between 2015 and 2019 and employ a fixed-effects negative binomial model to analyze tie formation processes between fintech companies and banks using three analytical perspectives: (i) geographical colocation, (ii) network embeddedness, and (iii) combined effects. Our empirical results demonstrate that geographical factors, network-related drivers, and combined effects positively impact the formation of ties between banks and fintech companies. This study contributes to the debate in small business literature by illuminating how small firms affect system emergence. Dazu werden LMS zunächst definiert und anschließend in die Bildungslandschaft eingeordnet. Daraufhin wird der Status Quo betrachtet mit der Feststellung, dass ein Bedarf an Werkzeugen besteht. Dieser Bedarf wurde durch die Programmierung zweier Anwendungen adressiert, die eine Integration im LMS ermöglichen und damit zu einer erhöhten Nutzbarkeit von Tonaufnahmen und musikalischen Inhalten führen sollen. Zum einen ist das eine Implementation des DTW Algorithmus, mittels welchem sich Synchronisationsdaten zwischen zwei verschiedenen Musikdarstellungen desselben Stückes berechnen lassen. Damit ließe sich bspw. ein Interface erstellen, auf dem die Anzeige der Musikwiedergabe mit der Anzeige einer Notenpartitur synchronisiert wird. Die zweite Anwendung fällt in den Bereich des maschinellen Lernens – es wurde ein automatischer Instrumentenklassifizierer geschrieben. Dieser eignet sich zur Erstellung von automatischen Taggings, zwecks Organisation von Daten und Gehörübungen. Die Nutzung einer CNN-Architektur hat sich dabei als effektiv erwiesen: Nach insgesamt 39 Lernepochen und knapp 7 Millionen gelernten Parametern konnte eine Genauigkeit von 95% erzielt werden. Als Datensatz diente die frei verfügbare Aufnahmensammlung des britischen Philharmonia Orchesters (vgl. Thorben Dittes). \r\nIm zweiten Kapitel soll ein Abstecken der Zwecke der einzelnen Programme die Designentscheidungen informieren, welche daraufhin erläutert werden. Im dritten Teil wird anschließend mit ScoreTube eine DTW Implementation von Berndt et al. zum Vergleich herangezogen, um die vorliegende Arbeit in den aktuellen Diskurs einzuordnen. Advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems provide these capabilities and are an extension for ERP systems. However, when integrating an APS and ERP system, the ERP data frequently lacks quality, hindering the APS system from working as required. This paper introduces a data quality (DQ) assessment framework that employs a Bayesian Network (BN) to perform quick DQ assessments based on expert interviews and DQ measurements with actual ERP data. We explain the BN’s functionality, design, and validation and show how using the perceived DQ of experts and a semi-supervised learning algorithm improves the BN’s predictions over time. We discuss applying our framework in an APS system implementation project involving an APS system provider and a medium-sized manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders. Despite considering the DQ assessment framework in such a specific context, it is not restricted to a particular domain. Although the notifications are a valuable support, they also lead to the curse of overloading with information for the operator. Due to the huge amount of alarms it is almost impossible to separate the crucial information from the insignificant ones. Therefore, new procedures are required to reduce these alarm floods and support the operator to minimize the safety risk. One approach is based on learning a causal model that represents the relationships between the alarms. This allows alarm sequences that are causally implied to be reduced to the root cause alarm. Fundamental element of this approach is the causal model. Therefore in this work, different probabilistic graphical models are considered and evaluated on the basis of appropriate criteria. In smart factories, network transmission has multiprotocol features of wired/wireless communication, and different data flows have different real-time requirements. In this article, a heterogeneous network architecture based on software-defined network is proposed for realizing cross-network flexible forwarding of multisource manufacturing data and optimized utilization of network resources. Subsequently, the mechanism of cross-network fusion and scheduling (CNFS) is analyzed from the perspective of high dynamic characteristics and different delay requirements of data flows. Based on this analysis, a route-aware data flow dynamic reconstruction algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm improves the efficiency of manufacturing data cross-network fusion, especially for multivariety and small-batch intelligent manufacturing systems. Furthermore, for meeting the bandwidth requirements of different delay flows, a delay-sensitive network bandwidth scheduling algorithm is proposed. In this study, we develop and assess a one-dimensional lake model and apply it to 32 lakes from a global observatory network. The data set included lakes over broad ranges in latitude, climatic zones, size, residence time, mixing regime and trophic level. Model performance was evaluated using several error assessment metrics, and a sensitivity analysis was conducted for nine parameters that governed the surface heat exchange and mixing efficiency. There was low correlation between input data uncertainty and model performance and predictions of temperature were less sensitive to model parameters than prediction of thermocline depth and Schmidt stability. Postponement of production difference, i.e., customer individualized demand has been considered as an innovative strategy and more or less implemented in the production process, mostly before and during the final assembly. This paper proposed the concept of postponing the individualization of some components after the assembly. The idea is to use the idle times especially during the distribution process when vehicles are accumulated to generate big transportation batches or the follow-up transport does not start immediately. The individualization is carried out in specially realized workshops. Objectives of the approach are to reduce variations in the manufacturing, to shorten delivery times and to give consumers the ability to reorder individual components shortly before delivery. This kind of postponement of individualization induces the requirement of redesigning the logistics network, which means the selection of workshop locations and the new selection of the suppliers for the individualized components. To reach this aim, a software tool has been developed. In the tool, the data required in the logistics network such as suppliers and workshop potential locations are managed in a MySQL database and the optimization of the network is achieved by the especiallydeveloped non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II). The design and development of the solution individuals and the fitness functions, which are the most important elements of a genetic algorithm, are based on the mathematical model of the logistics network design with product late individualization. Different scenarios are considered and generated to examine the applicability of the methodology in automotive practice. This paper investigates the case of feeding many small shipments to customers via a freight forwarder network. It is argued that costs for post-carriage transport dominate other costs. Based on a theoretical estimate, simulation experiments for the case of a uniform distribution of customer locations around the subsidiary with a fixed shipment size per drop suggest that the aggregate costs grow progressively with increasing customer drop distances from the subsidiary. While the sequence of network devices can be determined with quite simple methods in networks with physical interconnections, these methods can not be applied in contactless networks. This work is based on a linear network topology using a backbone rail, which includes mechanisms for contactless energy and data transmission. The position estimation for each attached network device can be performed by determining a specific physical characteristic, which is altered along the rail extension.
