Der Fokus liegt auf der mobilen Berichterstattung mit dem Smartphone von Journalisten im professionellen Journalismus. Es wird die Forschungsfrage gestellt: „Ist das Smartphone als Produktionsmittel im Berufsalltag des norwegischen Journalisten beim NRK zu einer Selbstverständlichkeit geworden?“ Um die Forschungsfrage zu beantworten, ist eine Online-Befragung mit 39 Journalisten des NRKs sowie vier Experteninterviews, die in Norwegen leben und Mobilen\r\nJournalismus erforschen, praktizieren und lehren durchgeführt worden. Die Untersuchungsergebnisse zeigen, dass das Smartphone während der mobilen Berichterstattung vorwiegend für Aufnahme multimedialer Inhalte genutzt wird, die weitere Bearbeitung und Distribution jedoch auf anderen, nicht unbedingt mobilen Geräten stattfindet. Dies zeigt, dass das Smartphone eine ergänzende Funktion im professionellen Journalismus beim NRK hat, trotzdem aber eine Notwendigkeit für den Sender ist."},{"text":"This study explores mobile journalism in Norway and analyses its practice within the professional newsroom at the public-service broadcaster NRK . It focuses especially on the smartphone as a productions tool for news gathering. The paper aims to analyse how this kind of mobile reporting is integrated within NRK’s newsroom and accepted\r\nof professional journalists. The research question of this paper is: “Has the smartphone as a production tool\r\nwithin the routines of a professional journalist at NRK become a matter of course?” To answer this research question, an online-survey with 39 journalists of the NRK and interviews with four experts, who live in Norway and not only do research on mobile journalism but also teach and practice it, has been conducted. The research results display that the smartphone during mobile reporting is mainly used for recording of multimedia content. Further editing and distribution, however, takes places on other, not necessarily mobile devices. In this paper we describe an image processing and  pattern  recognition  approach  which  is  based  on  the  Sound-of-Intaglio  concept  [1]  for  the  usage  in  smart  devices  such  as  smartphones.  Today,  in  many  world  regions  smartphones  are  in  use.  These  devices  become  more  and  more  computing units, equipped with resource-limited but effective CPUs, cameras with illumination, and flexible operating systems.  Hence,  it  appears  to  be  obvious,  to  apply  those  smartphones  for  banknote  authentication,  especially  for  visually impaired persons. However, it has to be researched, whether those devices are capable of processing  the  data  under the constraints of image quality and processing power.
