However, the design of a company-specific information system involving an LLM is associated with a large number of decisions. This leads to a high level of complexity in the design task. Against this background, companies need a structured approach that methodically supports the planning, development, implementation and long-term maintenance of LLM-based information systems so that domain- and company-specific requirements are taken into account as a result. This article therefore describes a method that supports the design, introduction and maintenance process of an LLM-based information system. The method consists of a process model and a list of design principles, which are also referred to as success factors. The process model developed is based on the proven six-stage REFA planning system. To identify and describe success factors, a systematic literature search was carried out. Based on an analysis of the contents of individual literature sources, success factors for the design of LLM-based information systems were identified. This puts it in contrast to previous generations of programming languages. The advantages of low-code development are manifold, including the increase of software development capacities through a partial decentralization of the development process, speeding up software development through the low-code approach, and designing software with a strong user-centric focus. Using a low-code development platform can help companies adapt their own business processes to changing requirements more quickly and to make complexity resulting, for example, from heterogeneous customer wishes, manageable. Since many low-code development platforms are available, it is not easy for companies to select and successfully introduce a platform that meets their requirements. Es bedarf daher neuer Ansätze, wie mit dieser Komplexität umzugehen ist, um die Komplexitätskosten gering zu halten, gleichzeitig aber dem Kunden ein differenziertes Spektrum an Leistungen anbieten zu können. Über viele Jahrzehnte standen Strategien der Komplexitätsvermeidung und -reduzierung im Vordergrund. Allerdings sind diesen Strategien enge Grenzen gesetzt, da Kunden vielfach erwarten, dass auch ihre sehr speziellen Anforderungen berücksichtigt werden. Es geht daher künftig zunehmend darum, Komplexität beherrschbar zu machen, indem die Agilität eines Betriebes über Dezentralisierung, Selbstorganisation, Befähigung der Beschäftigten und Digitalisierung gesteigert wird. Die Entwicklung von Anwendungssoftware über Low-Code-Plattformen – auch als End-User-Development bezeichnet – kann entscheidend dazu beitragen, die Agilität eines Betriebes zu verbessern und damit die zunehmende Komplexität beherrschbar zu machen. This technology-oriented approach is pursued quite independently of the Toyota Production System. As a result, technical solutions may prove incompatible with the Lean philosophy. Therefore, operational practice must link the Lean philosophy with new technologies in order to make work processes and material flows productive and ergonomic simultaneously. As a part of their education in industrial engineering at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts, students learn all current Lean methods by means of business games. One of these has been supplemented with information technology components. With the help of assistance systems, the process of information absorption and processing can be designed in a more economical and human-oriented way. Despite the potentials of such systems, companies pay too little attention to the informational design of assembly systems, resulting in a number of significant deficits in information management. To identify such deficits in operational practice, a questionnaire has been developed. This allows the potential use of informational assistance systems for an assembly system to be estimated. Dazu werden zunächst Anforderungen an die Assistenzsystemsoftware ermittelt. Auf Basis dieser Anforderungen wird ein Informationsmodell erstellt, welches anschließend über eine Low-Code-Programmierung umgesetzt wird. In low-code programming, in contrast to classic software development, it is possible to create software applications without extensive programming knowledge. In the laboratory, a teaching unit on app development using a low-code platform was designed. The objective of this paper is to identify potentials for improvement of shop floor management in the context of digitalization and to identify fields of action. As a result, the paper shows four categories of deficits in shop floor management, respectively information management. First, insufficiently designed business processes lead to additional administrative work for shop floor managers. Second, shop floor management can be strengthened by improving e-mail communication. Third, the meeting organization and fourth, the reporting offer potential for improvement. The creation of reports and the preparation of key figures, for example, involve routine activities that do not add value and can be partially automated. The trend of increasing technological complexity of machines mainly correlates with the integration of additional functions in machines. Increasing functionality of the machines leads to a cumulative number of control elements, which limits the clarity of the machine Operation and leads to higher cognitive demands in the machine operation. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate technological trends of the design of production machines. Based on this, the importance of ergonomics for production machines and concrete design recommendations with reference to study results of investigations on production machines are presented. Diese \r\nbeinhaltet zum einen die Integration von zunehmenden Funktionen in Maschinen und \r\nzum anderen die Vernetzung von Maschinen über das Internet. Diese Entwicklung wird in \r\nDeutschland auch mit dem Begriff »Industrie 4.0« gekennzeichnet. Im Zuge dieser Entwicklungen kommt der ergonomischen Gestaltung von Produktionsmaschinen eine entscheidende Bedeutung zu.
