  abstract     = {{Zur Bewältigung der deutlich gestiegenen Kundennachfrage sollten bei einem Fleischwarenhersteller kurz- bis mittelfristig Rationalisierungspotenziale in der Produktion erschlossen werden. Einen Ausgangspunkt der Rationalisierungsmaßnahmen sollte der Verpackungsbereich bilden, da dieser besonders personalintensiv ist und unternehmensintern als Engpassbereich gilt. Das Institut für Arbeitswissenschaft (IAW) wurde beauftragt, eine Analyse und Bewertung des Verpackungsbereiches durchzuführen, um auf dieser Basis Maßnahmen zur Erhöhung der Arbeitsproduktivität umzusetzen. Ausgehend von ersten Workshops und Interviews wurden vom Projektteam die folgenden fünf Handlungsfelder ausgewählt:
1. Verringerung der Rüstzeiten an den Verpackungslinien,
2. bedarfsgerechte Personalbemessung in Bezug auf Stellen, die nicht direkt wertschöpfend sind,
3. Gestaltung eines Kennzahlensystems zur effektiven Steuerung des Verpackungsbereichs, 
4. Ablaufoptimierung im Sortimentskarton-Packplatz mit MTM-UAS,
5. Ablaufoptimierung an den Verpackungslinien mit dem MTM-Grundverfahren.
In dem Beitrag werden die wesentlichen Ergebnisse zu Handlungsfeld 1, der Optimierung der Rüstvorgänge, vorgestellt. Dabei wird insbesondere auf die Vorgehensweise bei der Rüstzeitreduzierung eingegangen.}},
