In Zukunft werden die Maßnahmen zur Mobilisierung von Energiepotenzialen wie zum Beispiel die Nutzung von Abwärme aus dem Abwasser oder durch den Einsatz anaerober Verfahren der Abwasserbehandlung aus umweltökonomischen Gründen in den Vordergrund treten. Der mit der vorliegenden Untersuchung erbrachte Nachweis der wirtschaftlichen Tragfähigkeit eines grundlegenden Umbaus der kommunalen Wasser-Infrastruktur kann nur als ein erster Schritt hin zur Umsetzung verstanden werden. Es besteht weiterer Klärungsbedarf in Hinblick auf die spezifischen Anforderungen und Voraussetzungen eines solchen strukturellen Umbaus. Die  gesamte  Gruppe  bleibt  zusammen  und  übernachtet  am  Ort  der  Veranstaltung.  Ein spezielles Rahmenprogramm ergänzt diese Veranstaltung. In diesem Beitrag wird über die Erfahrungen der ersten Jahre berichtet, es werden Themenfelder und das verfolgte Konzept vorgestellt. However, conventional stopped-flow devices are often overly complex, voluminous, or costly. Moreover, excessive amounts of sample are often wasted owing to inefficient designs. To address these shortcomings, we propose a stopped-flow system based on microfluidic design principles. Our simple and cost-efficient approach offers distinct advantages over existing technology. In particular, the use of injection-molded disposable microfluidic chips minimizes required sample volumes and associated costs, simplifies handling, and prevents adverse cross-contamination effects. The cost of the system developed is reduced by an order of magnitude compared with the cost of commercial systems. The system contains a high-precision valve system for fluid control and features automated data acquisition capability with high temporal resolution. ","lang":"ger"},{"text":"The  paper  describes  the  program  ‘eHealth  – Enhancing  Mobility with  Aging’, an  interdisciplinary  research  project  at RWTH Aachen University, which aims at designing adaptive immersive interfaces for personal healthcare systems. The vision  of the  project  is the  development  of holistic,  multi-level,  personal  assistance  system,  which  enables  elderly  patients to maintain their mobility and independence despite their chronic diseases (focus on heart related diseases) and advanced age. The main issues addressed within the project are the systematic evaluation and consecutive optimization of the interrelation of medical, environmental, technical, communicative, psychological, and social factors and their consequences for the design, architecture, use and acceptance of personal healthcare systems. This is especially important, as users of future healthcare systems will be increasingly characterized by diversity. Relying only on highly experienced and technology-prone user groups, which might have been typical users in the last decades, is not sufficient anymore. Rather, elderly users, users with a completely different upbringing and domain knowledge, and ill or handicapped people will have to use the systems. Today, the understanding, in which way physical, emotional and cognitive abilities, caused by individual learning histories and health states, may impact the usage and acceptance of pervasive healthcare technologies, is restricted. This research contributes to this topic by investigating the acceptance motives of aged users with different health states regarding three different implementation concepts for medical technologies: medical technology implemented in mobile devices, smart environments and smart clothing. Using the questionnaire method, a total of 82 users between 40 and 92 years of age were examined regarding their usage motives and barriers with respect to the different technology concepts. The focus of the study is on three aspects: the general willingness to provide different types of context information, the acceptance of manual and automated data capturing mechanisms and the identification of personal and cultural differences among users.
