Analysing landscape perception by em-ploying social media data has the potential to be an efficient and effective way of integrating infor-mation on public landscape perception into planning practice. The paper presents a GIS-based approach to landscape quality assessment that includes data harvested from social media. The approach was de-veloped to be used for planning purposes at a variety of different scales.
