Digital construction at the Department of Civil Engineering
Digitalization is becoming increasingly important in the planning and construction of buildings and infrastructure. This is reflected in the modules and courses offered by the Department of Civil Engineering. In addition to teaching, digital construction also plays an important role in research: the Department of Civil Engineering is significantly involved in the Center for Sustainable Digital Construction (ZNDB) at TH OWL. In the sense of a digital chain, the process goes from the small-scale digital laboratory to the real laboratory, in which the previously tested applications are tested on a large scale, through to (planned) implementation on the construction site.
