Research – Facilities, Priorities and R & D Activities

The Civil Engineering Department is involved in intensive application-related research and development cooperation projects, especially with regional companies and institutions but also on a nationwide basis. The majority of degree theses are carried out within the framework of such cooperation projects, either directly at the cooperation partner’s facility or at the department's laboratory. In addition the department participates in the interdisciplinary research focus ConstructionLab as well as the transdisciplinary research focus urbanLab.
