Are you a high school student, already studying at our university or a young scientist who wants to aim for the top but need suitable support?

Then a scholarship might be helpful for you! There are a variety of scholarships that differ according to the type and purpose of the funding.

We offer to assist you in your search for suitable funding and support you in writing a convincing letter of motivation. If you would like to take advantage of our scholarship advice, please send us an e-mail. We will then provide you with information that you can use to gain an initial overview and arrange a longer, individual consultation appointment with you.

Overview Scholarships

ApplicAid: Scholarship advice and mentoring for scholarship applications

The Hamburg-based non-profit organization ApplicAid has set itself the goal of supporting students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds with their scholarship applications. It offers purely digital peer-to-peer scholarship advice and purely digital peer-to-peer mentoring for scholarship applications.

Who can use ApplicAid's digital scholarship advice and mentoring?

  • Students who are the first in their family to study
  • People with a migration background
  • People with a history of flight
  • People with a low socio-economic status (e.g. entitled to BAföG)
  • Chronically ill people and people with mental or physical disabilities

What do I need to know before I can take part in ApplicAid's mentoring program?

  • You need to know which scholarship you want to apply for.
  • If you do not yet know which scholarship you would like to apply for, you can make an appointment for a free scholarship consultation with the Career Service of TH OWL or make an appointment with the free scholarship consultation of ApplicAid!
  • You should make sure that you know and meet all the formal requirements of the scholarship program for which you wish to apply. If in doubt, you should always check with the respective funding organization.
  •  You are committed and reliable in participating in the mentoring program
