General Information
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has developed a broad variety of activities in order to pave prospective students the way to a study of engineering. Its wide range of activities for pupils aims at raising young people’s interest in science- and engineering-oriented subjects. The portfolio includes numerous workshops for school classes and further offers for particularly interested adolescents who enjoy spending parts of their spare time at our university.
In contrast, preparatory courses and the assessment test have the function of making it easier for prospective students to enter university life.
Our programs for pupils aim at school classes and interested young people. In the Robot Club, interested pupils can preoccupy themselves with robotics in more depth. In our project “Lippe SmartHome”, they get familiar with connected home technology. Every year in autumn, the “IT’s OWL” School Camp offers its participants an opportunity to deepen their skills in the field of computer science.
