Software skills, that once had exclusively been part of computer scientists‘ profiles, have now become competences expected in every company: appointments for hair cuts have to be done online, the „just-around-the-corner-criteria“ is no longer the crucial factor for choosing a bakery since we can view the whole offer on the bakery’s website. Accondingly, the success of medium-sized enterprises is no longer subject to perfectly handling a craft, it also depends on the craftsman’s understanding of the impacts, that the digital transformation has on consumers‘ behavior as well as on the production itself.
This course of studies has the aim to convey economic skills and methods as well as the basics of technologies and informatics. It is a unique link between the technological development and the future viability of any enterprise or organisation.

Acquired knowledge ist intensified and directly applied through interaction in local middle-sized enterprises. You will be involved in the companies‘ strategies within the scope of your own projects. Thus, you will learn to reflect and enhance the established tactics. The focus of your studies is flexible in order to prepare you for a leading position in small and medium-sized companies.
The studies include presence teaching as well as digital modules. A great share of practical working marks the outstanding feature of the study course. You will be learning on the basis of your own projects and benefit from expericence within the studies.
Graduates are qualified for non sector-specific problem analysis and decision-making in small and middle-sized enterprises. Due to the practical experience and close cooperation with local companies graduates will face excellent career prospects. Therefore you will acquire the following competencies:

Fachhochschulreife/ Allgemeine Hochschulreife (an entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences or at universities or an equivalent qualification)
The degree program has a standard duration of six semesters. Basic modules concerning digitalization, software, economics and scientific working are accompanied by projects. The fifth semester is entirely dedicated to practical application in a company or a public institution. The bachelor’s thesis is subject to the last semester.
