10th Symposium Connectors 2025

On March 19 and 20, 2025, the technical and scientific community of connectors will meet for the 10th time at the VDE symposium “Electrical and Optical Connection Technology - Symposium Connectors” at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences.

The event is being organized by the VDE/VDI Society for Microelectronics, Microsystems and Precision Engineering (GMM) in cooperation with the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. The symposium will take place in the conference room of the Phoenix Contact Arena, right next to the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences in Lemgo.

On the day before (March 18, 2025), three tutorials will be held on the topics of “Contact behavior of connectors depending on the type of current load”, “Derating curve” and “Contact force / relaxation”.

Current technical developments and results from scientific research will be presented by researchers and developers from renowned companies from the connector industry and universities such as RPTU in Kaiserslautern, RWTH Aachen, TH Ostwestfalen-Lippe, TU Dresden and the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials.

The latest technical advances in connection technology will be comprehensively presented, including topics such as innovative design principles, miniaturization, digitalization, high-current and high-voltage connections as well as reliability and testing methods. At the same time, developments in classic areas such as material technology, surface coating, lubricants, qualification processes and tribology will also be presented and discussed.

A trade exhibition of manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from the industry will run parallel to the presentations.
