The Smart City project focuses on data related to urban climate protection and mobility. The exhibition demonstrates how complex information can be presented in a way that makes it not only digitally accessible but also understandable and immediately tangible in public spaces.
Among other things, visitors gain insights into environmental stressors that can influence mobility in the city.
Another topic is flood monitoring in the Klüt district of Detmold. With support from Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, the city of Detmold has installed digital water level gauges at selected bodies of water there. The measurements are automatically transmitted in real time. This allows rising water levels to be detected early and emergency responders to be supported more effectively in the event of an emergency.
Workshops are scheduled for August 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and for August 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
