In this course, participants learn to recognize mental health issues and respond appropriately. The focus is on the skills needed by support providers, such as approaching individuals and conducting conversations in stressful situations, self-protection, and maintaining professional boundaries. Upon successful completion, all participants receive a certificate from TH OWL.
The courses are led by Dr. Barbara Weißbach, a psychologist with a Ph.D., supported by actress and communication trainer Judith Evers. Through hands-on modules and exercises, students acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills.
Many graduates actively apply their knowledge: They serve as confidential contacts for fellow students, thereby contributing to a supportive and mindful university environment.
