Monday Series: Where Is the Human Element? — Insights into Modern Work Sciences

The Monday Series is back after the summer break! We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the Institute for Science in Dialog’s next event in September.

Our institute cordially invites you to an engaging lecture in a relaxed atmosphere at “anno 1578,” located at Mittelstraße 70, where you can join our speakers in discussion.

Together with our speaker, Viktoria Mordaschew, this Monday lecture series will look back at the history of work, examine the tensions in today’s workplace, and explore what actually defines good work—both today and in the future. The focus is on modern ergonomics—how must we design our work so that people are not lost in the midst of progress?

Viktoria Mordaschew conducts research at inIT—the Institute for Information Technology at TH OWL—on human-centered work design in production processes. The goal of her work is to develop solutions that support employees with diverse abilities, thereby promoting participation, motivation, and performance. In her practice-based doctoral studies—funded as part of the PROFuture project—she explores the use of gamification in production environments, for which she was awarded the Hans-Martin Prize for Ergonomics from the University of Kassel.

The event is open to anyone interested—no prior knowledge is required.
