Free Language Courses

At OWL University of Applied Sciences, you can enroll in in-person or distance learning courses in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Dutch, and German as a foreign language.

Information about German courses for international students can be found on the International Office website.

The courses in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, and Dutch are free of charge and can be attended without registration. Courses generally begin two weeks after the start of the semester. If you actively participate and attend at least 80 percent of the classes, you will receive a certificate.

Preparatory Course Before the start of your studies and throughout your program, students interested in refreshing their English skills can take advantage of the English preparatory course.

Information about the classrooms will be posted here shortly before the courses begin.

In the 2026/27 winter semester, we will continue to offer ZAF foreign language courses as distance learning courses via Webex.
