Faculty of Computer Science and Automation

Founding Team

Welcome to the Faculty of Computer Science and Automation!

We are pleased to welcome you to our website on behalf of the founding team of the new Faculty of Computer Science and Automation.

The Faculty of Computer Science and Automation brings together computer science, intelligent systems, and automation. Our study programs address key future-oriented topics such as artificial intelligence, embedded systems, robotics, gaming and gamification, and sustainable automation, preparing students specifically for a digitalized and automated working environment.

A strong focus on practical relevance and interdisciplinarity shapes our academic profile. Through close collaboration with regional companies—particularly technology-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises—we offer practice-oriented teaching formats, projects, internships, and final theses.

With us, computer science is not abstract: students work with real systems from an early stage. At SmartFactoryOWL, they develop software, AI, and automation solutions for networked production environments. In the MONOCAB OWL real-world laboratory, students help design autonomous and sustainable mobility solutions.

In this way, students learn to actively develop and implement technology—working in teams, with a strong practical focus and a future-oriented mindset. The program is complemented by practical semesters, international experiences, and applied research.

We warmly invite you to get to know our new faculty.
