Hardware Lab OWL

The StartUpLab@FH project, funded by the BMBF, focuses on creating spaces for experimentation and idea generation as well as prototyping labs for founders in the food technology and intelligent automation innovation centres, where the necessary technical equipment (hardware and software) as well as professional support and advice are significantly strengthened. This will enable the founders to put their ideas into practice faster, test them and let them mature into a product concept. In a central contact point, all founders of the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts will also receive interdisciplinary training in entrepreneurial thinking and will be able to validate and further develop their business model in a scientifically based way. Connected to the existing co-working space, an InnovationLab will be created for this purpose, which will also be equipped with IT and start-up-specific software as needed. In addition, new curricular and extracurricular formats will be offered to raise awareness and support for start-ups, such as the Master's degree programme in Applied Entrepreneurship and the VirtualStartUp programme.
