Institute for Design Strategies

The IDS Institute for Design Strategies supports the transition in architecture and planning disciplines toward a responsible and sustainable design of the human living environment. To this end, it explores the interactions between people and space, develops strategies for creating a climate-resilient built environment, and leverages the opportunities offered by digitalization to foster innovative approaches. The institute was founded in 2021 as a further development of the research focuses urbanLab, nextPlace, constructionLab, and perceptionLab.
