Campus Foundery OWL

The "Campus Foundery OWL" start-up center is the first point of contact and an open meeting place for people interested in starting a business at TH OWL and offers special freedom for experimenting, validating and testing innovative ideas. We support students and staff with space, infrastructure and expertise to bring ideas forward. The aim is to teach entrepreneurial thinking and to establish a scientific start-up spirit at the TH OWL. The Campus Foundery OWL is the start-up centre of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. It is run by the Institute for Science Dialogue in cooperation with the Institute for Life Science Technologies and the Institute for Industrial Information Technology.

Our offer for those interested in starting a business

You have an idea and want to get started?
You want to start a business and are still looking for partners with the right idea? We, the start-up team at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences, are here to help you in word and deed. We will accompany you on the way from the idea, through the market analysis and the development of your business plan, to the foundation. We already offer a wide range of services, which will be expanded in the future. We offer infrastructure, competent contact persons for coaching talks and a series of networking events, expert lectures, workshops, as well as idea competitions...there is something for everyone.

Our Start-ups

Our teams are very diverse and cover many different subject areas. Thanks to the three thematic focuses of our labs, many start-ups are created in the fields of industrial automation, food and design. However, we also support teams from other areas. Here you can get an overview of our various start-up teams. Unser Team

In order to start a business, many different competencies are needed. The founding coaches have diverse professional expertise and can advise on various key topics. Convince yourself of the many different personalities and the versatility of the team.

I myself was the founder and CEO of an IoT start-up for several years and would be happy to support you as a mentor and sparring partner in the iterative development of your business model.


I studied product design, interior design and design thinking and already pursued my own start-up project during my studies. I'm happy to support you in the early idea phase, website building and interface app development.


With my competences and contacts that I acquired during my studies in electrical engineering and my work in research projects in the context of Industry 4.0, I support you with expertise and arrange contacts to partners.


I studied Business Mathematics and Applied Entrepreneurship and have been self-employed since the age of 18. My focus is on growth marketing and I look forward to helping founders realise their entrepreneurial vision.


I founded my own company during my studies and love to work on positioning and marketing food topics.





With a bachelor in engineering and master degree in entrepreneurship and innovation, I have start-up experience of about 9 years in e-commerce, tech based transportation & social entrepreneurship. My mentorship will guide them through the process of entrepreneurship.
I have worked in the food industry for 15 years in product development and technical sales and also as a freelancer. With the help of the experience and contacts I have gained in these areas, I would like to support you.


I studied Media & Communication Studies. My focus is on video production and the development of communication strategies. I help to look at your start-up project from other perspectives and contribute constructive input.


With my experience in sensory science and consumer research, I can help you achieve specific sensory characteristics in your products and high consumer acceptance.



For 16 years, I have seen our students come up with incredible product ideas that would never have occurred to me. My job here is to encourage them on all possible levels and bring these ideas to fruition.


For 15 years I have been working in various national and international IoT projects, where the latest IT or communication technologies are made industrially viable. I am happy to share this experience and also contacts with the founders.

I founded a company during my studies and love to develop sustainable solutions for problems in our society.





In my role in marketing at the start-up center, I act as a translator between different people to strengthen the start-up community, support talents in the best possible way and give them maximum visibility.


I studied Financial Management, International Marketing and Applied Entrepreneurship. My role is in the management of the women's empowerment program "Women Exist".



I often see more in people than they do themselves. In my work as a professor, I want to prepare students in the best possible way for possible self-employment or freelance work.



I started my own business during my studies in media production and now support young start-ups in everything to do with media.
