Techné Hub OWL
Offering founders the space, infrastructure and expertise to get things done and integrating them into strong regional networks with the business community is the basic idea for strengthening start-up activities at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences (TH OWL). for this purpose, the unique potential of the infrastructures and networks of the profile-forming, research-strong areas of TH OWL is now also being tapped for the founders. In this way, we create targeted implementation support and address in a special way those start-up activities that require hardware or production, with the business partners also beyond the prototyping phase.
The basis for this is TH OWL's strategic endeavour to realise campus structures at its locations in Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter together with partners from business, research and society, where the entire innovation chain of education - research - business interacts, thus creating a new and sustainable innovation dynamic. Start-ups should also benefit intensively from this in the future.
OWL Incubator & Accelerator
With its locations at the Innovation Campus Lemgo and Kreativ Campus Detmold, the OWL Incubator offers entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs space, infrastructure and support to develop, evaluate and iterate their business ideas and product prototypes. Based on this, the OWL Accelerator enables the founders to create real products via the connection to the growth cores of the campus developments and to gain customers, technical expertise or production support directly via the networks with industry partners. The Master's programme Applied Entrepreneurship offers intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs an accompanying curricular framework and, like the other project-based formats, serves to promote closer networking between these two groups.
