Material Testing

The material testing laboratory offers practical training courses for students of the following departments or branches of study:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Production technology
  • Electrical engineering
  • Mechatronic


The laboratory offers the possibility of carrying out non-destructive as well as destructive material tests for which a number of laboratory devices can be used by the students. A small technical facility is included for preparing samples and for carrying out heat treatments. The preparation of samples for the microscopic examination is possible in the metallographic facility annexed to the material testing laboratory.
