Old laboratory building goes – new parking lot comes

There's a lot going on at the Innovation Campus Lemgo. That in itself would not be newsworthy, of course. There's practically always something happening here. But if you walk along Campusallee at the moment, you'll see a lot of "action" – and, to use a nice bit of alliteration, a particularly busy construction site with a ballet of excavators.

The old laboratory building from the 1970s is currently being demolished. It has already been replaced by two new buildings, 14 and 16, which have been in operation for some time. Construction machinery is nibbling its way through ceilings, supports, beams, and walls with pliers and concrete shears, so to speak. The aging old building had previously been gutted and "decontaminated."

The work is expected to be completed by the end of March. The vacated area will then be leveled and graveled to serve as a temporary parking lot. These additional parking spaces at the TH OWL main building are also needed because the existing parking lot will also be redesigned in the near future. Further information on this will follow.
