At its own booth, the department presented a selection of outstanding student projects, including interactive games and film works created during the course of their studies. The KreativInstitut.OWL was also part of the presentation and showcased innovative approaches from research and development: “Table Top Tumult” is one of these projects—a two-player game with mixed PC and VR application that was very well received by visitors.
In addition to the comprehensive program featuring more than 280 international speakers, FMX offered participants numerous opportunities to learn about and discuss current trends and technologies in the media industry in lectures, panels, and networking formats.
“FMX is always a real highlight for the animation students in our department, and we are delighted that TH OWL is presented so professionally every year,” emphasized Dean Professor Sebastian Grobler. Together with Peter Kaboth, Professor of Animation, who was also present, he was delighted with the students' great commitment.
Ali Halawi, a student in the Media Production department, was also a speaker. In his presentation, he introduced the short film “Fatima” – a media project that was realized as part of his studies and met with great interest from the expert audience.
FMX 2025 thus not only offered exciting insights into the dynamic media landscape, but also provided a valuable platform for presenting the creative and practical work of the department to an international audience.
