The event in the Auditorium Maximum was hosted by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Professor Dr. Petra Meier. She was delighted to announce a special guest lecture at the beginning of the evening: Professor Dr. Mirko Schaper, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn, entertained and educated the guests with a science slam. Marie Stute (vocals) and Julian Burdenko (piano) from the Detmold University of Music provided the musical accompaniment for the evening.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the best students of the year from both faculties were honored for their excellent results in the degree programs. In the bachelor's degree programs, these were Tobias Hentschel (Mechanical Engineering), Moritz Beuser, Daniel Shotton, and Simon Hake (Mechatronics), Albert Schwarz (future energies), Andreas Dirksen (Virtual Product Development), Hendrik Jeromin (Energy Technology), Fabrice Loges and Stefan Johannes Müller (Electrical Engineering), Hanna Kattermann and Tobias Langsch (Computer Engineering), Jonas Eimler (Medical and Health Technology), Dennis Reinhardt (Data Science), and Marlon Gröne (Energy Management and Industrial Climate Protection Technology). In the master's programs, the honors went to Jan Pinter and Falk Köster (Mechanical Engineering), Nico Baumgart (Electrical Engineering), Eric Wallis (Mechatronic Systems), and Henrik Ressler (Information Technology). Philipp Kolmer, Abhay Rammurti Shukla, and Marco Ehrlich successfully completed their doctoral studies. The ceremony was supported by the University Advancement Foundation.
Following the official part of the ceremony, the graduates celebrated their degrees in the cafeteria.
