Nine high-caliber technical presentations offered in-depth insights into the latest developments in direct digital manufacturing. From the role of artificial intelligence in additive manufacturing to global market trends, the presentations impressively demonstrated just how dynamic and forward-looking the industry is. A particular highlight was the presentation of a new 3D printing process by 3D Systems, which was unveiled for the first time in Lemgo as a world first.
In addition to the presentations, a lively panel discussion specialized in the day’s key topics. In the foyer, attendees could also experience current technologies up close at an exhibition. The opportunity for direct exchange and networking with industry representatives rounded out the event.
Since its premiere in 1996, the Rapid Prototyping Symposium has been organized by TH OWL in collaboration with H&H Gesellschaft für Engineering und Prototypenbau mbH. The aim of the event is to promote discussion about the potential of additive manufacturing and to foster networking within the professional community.
This year’s organizers—Professor Dr. Franz-Josef Villmer, Professor Dr. André Springer, and Markus Hoffmann—were thrilled with the response and have already offered a preview of next year: The 30th conference will once again set the tone as an anniversary event and invite the 3D printing community to Lemgo.
