Under the theme “From Creative Destruction to Successful Transformation,” they exchanged ideas on ways to successfully shape economic and social change.
The organizing team from the Faculty of Computer Science and Automation at the (TH) OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts welcomed the participants to a day filled with academic insights and interdisciplinary discussions.
The two keynote presentations provided particular highlights. Michael Fritsch examined the long-term development of regional self-reliance and highlighted the factors that influence entrepreneurial dynamism over extended periods.
Uwe Cantner addressed the question of how transformation processes can be initiated and successfully shaped in the face of profound economic and societal changes.
In the subsequent expert discussions, it became clear that successful transformation processes require diverse academic perspectives and an exchange between research and practice. The discussions once again underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for better understanding current challenges and developing sustainable solutions.
The workshop was organized by Andreas Pyka, Toralf Pusch, Lukasz Wisniewski, Ben Vermeulen, and Muhamed Kudic. The on-site organizing team consisted of Arved Sachau, Tony Rosset Anto, Behnaz Fayazi, and Gulnara Edikhanova.
