Take a break from the daily grind of business for a day, travel to the Phoenix Contact Arena on the official TBV team bus, and participate in a team-building session with head coach Florian Kehrmann? This is exactly the experience that recently awaited more than 20 executives from PETER/LACKE, a global coatings supplier based in Hiddenhausen. A varied day full of inspiring activities awaited them at the Lemgo home stadium. The day began with a keynote address by Professor Dr. Josef Löffl, Director of the Institute for Science in Dialog. His lecture on “Leadership in the Digital Age” offered valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of modern leadership. “The topic of leadership is becoming increasingly important in today’s world, and it’s exciting to see how science and professional sports can be brought into harmony and benefit from one another. The playful approach to leadership development training was also a new experience for us as a university, one that we can build upon in the future,” Professor Dr. Löffl is certain.
Following this, TBV head coach Florian Kehrmann, together with several players, led a team-building exercise in which participants had to navigate an obstacle course while blindfolded, guided by their colleagues. This exercise not only fostered trust among the participants but also enhanced their communication skills. After a refreshing lunch break and a tour of the arena, the event continued with a panel discussion. During this session, TBV Managing Director Jörg Zereike explained how the TBV assembles its team and how the club approaches the topics of goal-setting and goal achievement at TBV Lemgo Lippe. To wrap things up, everyone in attendance had the chance to watch a training session of the Bundesliga team and get an exclusive look at the daily work of the pros.

The idea for the partnership with TBV ultimately arose through contact with Professor Dr. Löffl from TH OWL and is set to be further expanded in the future and implemented in various formats.
