CAD/CAE

The CAD/CAE laboratory was founded in 1990 and has been equipped with new modern hardware and software in 2001 and 2009. The system is based on Windows7-64bit workstations and the software offers numerous applications in all areas in which computers are used for mechanical engineering. The laboratory is not only devised to provide knowledge but also to handle specific projects for the industry.

Integration of product development and fabrication
Product development plays a major strategic role. This is where decisions are taken which have a major impact on the subsequent processes and which determine the overall cost of development and fabrication of products. Siemens NX is a high-performance and innovative CAD/CAE/CAM system and is used as a basis for all applications – from the draft, the calculation up to the fabrication. Siemens NX allows new products to be described in form of three-dimensional models including exact component data with all non-geometrical data. In this way an integrated handling is possible in all computer application phases.
