As the provider of the IT infrastructure, we operate the university's IT network from the connection to the research network (DFN), distributed across the university's four sites, to every workstation computer. Regardless of whether this is permanently connected (LAN) or operated in the comprehensive eduroam wireless network (WLAN), the security and integrity of your data takes centre stage. To this end, we use firewalls, operate centralised data storage (cloud solutions) and apply security concepts.

We operate numerous communication-related services (applications) to facilitate daily collaboration in everyday university life. The portal for applying for a study plac we operate makes it easy to start studying. The university's websites allow information from all departments and facilities to be provided quickly and accurately. Our learning platform eCampus (ILIAS) supports multimedia forms of teaching and learning and is supplemented by our room and examination planning system (CAS). With additional services such as e-mail, telephone and web conferencing, we offer further communication channels for students and staff.

The Teaching & Learning Team (TeLL) serves as a central point of contact for all questions relating to analogue and digital teaching and learning at the TH OWL. In our team you will find specialists on the topics of didactics, digital teaching and the use of the eCampus learning platform (ILIAS). The team also assists lecturers who want to organise examinations digitally and provides support from planning to implementation. The learning centre with its learning rooms at the Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter sites is also part of TeLL. The academic and student staff at the learning centre support students at TH OWL in successfully completing their studies. In addition, the staff at the Learning Centre advise the university's teaching staff on curriculum development and the training of tutors, among other things.

In addition to a selection of printed specialist literature, you will find other digital resources such as electronic books (eBooks) and electronic journals (eJournals) in our library at all locations. Specialised databases can be used to research a wide range of topics. Literature not available on site can be obtained via interlibrary loan. If you have any questions about media and information, we are always ready to listen and help you. The library is also available to you as a place of learning. Your publications can be referenced and made accessible on our university publication server.
