General information
Under the umbrella of DigiBib you will find here the course reserves in the form of literature lists recommended by the lecturers of the TH OWL in their courses.
DigiBib is the combined entry point to the media search, the subject databases, the course reserves and your library account.
As support, we offer lecturers at the TH OWL the option of setting up an analog and/or digital course reserve collection. Semester files contain recommended and used literature for individual (teaching) courses.
The S(kim) course reserve team takes care of the creation and ongoing maintenance of the course reserves and makes the media and (teaching) materials available to teachers and students at a central location.
If you are interested in creating a course reserve or have any questions, please contact semesterapparate@th-owl.de.
Analog
- The analog course reserve contains the physical placement of books from our library collection in the library. To enable access to the literature at any time, the titles cannot be borrowed, but are available on site for reading and scanning.
- The literature list is displayed in the Digibib media search in the course reserves section.
- In addition, the literature list can be uploaded to ILIAS on request. This allows teachers and students to see at a glance which titles are available in the library's semester collection.
- Titles that we only have as electronic resources (e.g. e-books) are linked in the literature list in ILIAS and in the media search so that you and your students can access them directly
For lecturers: Are you missing literature in our collection that you would like to add to your analog reserve collection?
Please send us a list of new acquisitions via e-mail in addition to the list for the reserve collection. We will check it and forward it to the acquisitions department. As soon as the books have arrived, we will place them in your apparatus in the library
Digital
For lecturers: Do you need specific essays for your digital course reserves?
Send us an e-mail with the references; we will obtain and create the digital copies for you. We will order articles that have been published in media that are not in our library collection via interlibrary loan and then make them available in digital form. S(kim) will cover the costs of the interlibrary loan for you!
