Operation and further options
When scanning, operation is explained step by step in the menu, making the process extremely straightforward. The scanners offer the following additional options:
Language selection - The operating information is available in numerous languages, which can be selected via a flag.
OCR text recognition - The scanned documents are recognized using OCR text recognition (optical character recognition). This means that the text information from the image files can be further processed using a word processor or made electronically searchable.
Page cropping - The pages are automatically cropped so that scanned fingerprints from holding the document are deleted.
Sending and Saving
The scanned document can be saved in two different ways:
- by sending it to your own e-mail address
Please take the following into account:
File size - The size of the file is limited to a maximum of 100 MB. This also corresponds to the maximum file size set in Outlook. For larger quantities, the document must be split into several files.
University e-mail address - As a member of the university, please use your university e-mail address.
- via USB stick
Alternatively, you can also save the scanned document on your own USB stick.
