Welcome to the TH OWL!
We have compiled everything you need for a successful start to your studies in Herford here.
The study location Herford differs from the Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter locations in a number of ways. For example, your degree programme will largely take place digitally with few attendance phases on the EducationCampus in Herford.
Despite all the peculiarities - our information on starting your studies with our screencasts and documentation is also a good introduction for you. The necessary IT equipment, how to use the three libraries or the study guide - all topics for all new students.
Our service on-site
On Friday, 25.10., 08.11. and 15.11. we will be personally on site in the foyer of the DCC from 08:00 to 16:00 to clarify all questions and concerns with you.
During the course of your studies, you can contact us by phone or e-mail. Or you can visit one of our service points in Lemgo, Detmold or Höxter.
Your CampusCard KISOWL
You apply for your CampusCard online at the beginning of your studies. If you would like to receive the CampusCard before the official start at the end of September, select a location close to you as the pick-up location and collect the card at the relevant service point in Lemgo, Detmold or Höxter.
During our on-site office hours in Herford, you can also receive the CampusCard on the spot by prior arrangement. To do this, you must select Lemgo as the pick-up location when applying for the card.
Unlike in the cafeterias in Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter, it is currently not possible to pay with the CampusCard in the cafeteria in Herford.

Using the library
The libraries at the Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter locations can be used by you during your studies with all their services. There is no library on the EducationCampus in Herford.
Good to know: In addition to printed materials, the libraries offer numerous electronic media: Books, journals, specialised databases. These are available to you around the clock and completely independent of location.

Learning center
The learning centres in Lemgo, Detmold and Höxter are your points of contact for all questions relating to learning. Whether you have questions about the learning platform or need tips on learning, you will find competent contacts here. You can contact the learning centre digitally or visit one of the three locations.
