Administration
The first-time registration for the IDM takes place either with the registration data provided during enrolment or with the data provided during self-registration. The password must be reset when registering for the first time.
You can access the identity management (IDM) at the URL: idm.th-owl.de
Good to know: The IDM can also be accessed via the quick links on the S(kim) website.
You can view and, if necessary, adjust your personal data in the IDM. After logging into the IDM, you can edit your data under "Applications (Anwendungen)". There you will find, for example, the applications for changing your password or room number. Under the "My profile (Mein Profil)" application, you will find various information about your profile. Among other things, you can change your academic degree and job descriptions.
Good to know: Address data can be changed via the HIS portal or via Department 3 Human Resources and Organisation.
You will need a university certificate to access the "Eduroam" Wi-Fi network as well as for the exam registration.

Change password
There are various reasons to reassign the password for your user account. It is not only forgetting your password that is a good reason to enter a new one, it is also advisable to change your password regularly for security reasons.
