S(kim) regularly conducts tests simulating the failure of a data centre in order to be well prepared in the event of an emergency. As similar tests have run smoothly in the past, we do not expect any significant disruption for our users during the upcoming test on Friday, 16 January. However, there may be slightly longer response times for individual applications in some cases. For this reason, the test will not begin until 4 p.m.
After the simulated failure, the affected data centre will be brought back into operation in a controlled manner. Any necessary follow-up work will be completed by Saturday morning at the latest.
