Leisure

At the Creative Campus Detmold, Innovation Campus Lemgo and Sustainable Campus Höxter, there is more than just work, study, teaching and research. Campus life and everyday student life also include leisure, culture, sports and recreation. The Detmold, Lemgo and Höxter campuses offer a variety of different leisure and cultural activities.

Lemgo

Lemgo offers a variety of hiking opportunities. Whether it's just a short round around the city over the ramparts with the historical city fortifications, which are clearly recognizable in many places, or an extended walk through the Lemgo city forest. The "Försterteiche" (forester's ponds) with the wildlife preserve are particularly worth seeing there and the restaurant of the same name offers a unique view over Lemgo.

Lemgo also has a lot to offer in terms of going out. Celebrate, drink cocktails, have a coffee or dine out: Lemgo's city offers a colorful variety of clubs, bars and restaurants.

There are unique museums in Lemgo. The Municipal Museum Hexenbürgermeisterhaus is one of the oldest city museums in OWL and the Weser Renaissance Museum Schloss Brake is an architectural monument with a building history from the 12th to the 19th century.
