OWL Racing-Team
Squealing tires and howling engines at TH OWL. The OWL Racing Team consists of students from the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The students from different departments plan, design and manufacture a new racing car together every year and take part in international Formula Student events, where they compete with the cars of students from all over the world.
The OWL Racing Team consists of the subteams Powertrain, Mechanics, Aerodynamics&Body and Marketing. Participation in the racing events has already taken the team to the Hockenheimring in Germany to Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and England. The OWL Racing Team is characterized by sustainability, diversity, interdisciplinarity and teamwork.

Motorsport harms the climate?
Not at the OWL Racing Team! The planning of the OWL 1.9., the first electric race car of the OWL Racing Team, already started in 2018. Although the design of the electric race car differs from that of its predecessors, the OWL Racing Team did not miss the opportunity to put a car on the asphalt that does not pollute the environment and still goes up to 130 km/h.
In 2023, for the 15th anniversary of the team, the OWL 2.3 was presented.

The OWL Racing Team proves that motorsport is for everyone and not just for men and technology freaks. In the subteams of the OWL Racing Team, women as well as men are represented and all are welcome, whether experts for engines or rank beginners.
OWL Racing Team benefits from diversity. Students from all faculties are represented and welcome. No matter what you are studying, at the OWL Racing Team you can put the theory you learned during your studies into practice, network with companies and write your student research project or thesis.

It doesn't matter if you have previous knowledge or just want to get to know the world of motorsports. You just have to be enrolled at TH OWL, bring some time and above all motivation.
