We offer specialized programming for secondary schools on student orientation and career orientation, including laboratory tours and experiments. Our talent scouts support talented secondary school students and help them through their degrees.

The International Office of the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts advises international and refugee students on any questions they have related to their university studies.
Before beginning your degree program
Once you have found your desired program and completed the requirements to apply to the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, you can complete your application. Please note our key terms and deadlines. Once you have successfully applied, you will then enroll or register for the university. The specific process will depend on whether you have selected an open enrollment or restricted enrollment degree program. You are required to pay your semester fees before you may register. The document “Frequently asked questions” provides answers to your most important questions on application and enrollment.
The OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts offers pre-courses to future students to help them prepare for their degrees. For many students, starting at the university also means moving into their own apartment for the first time. Here, you can find links and addresses to help you find an apartment in OWL.
Information on starting your degree
To continue your degree program after the semester ends, you must re-register for the following semester. We offer you advising and services on a variety of topics to support you while you complete your degree at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Tips and links on your coursework provide you with an overview of your degree program – whether you are looking for the course catalog or want to create your own course schedule The examination administration includes all departmental examination offices at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and can help you with exam-related questions during your degree program.

If you are about to graduate or already have your degree, our Career Services Office can help you transition to your career and can provide personal career planning. In addition, you can also enter into a Master's program or complete a docoral degree.
In order to leave the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts after your degree, you must de-register.

Central Student Advisory Services
- The Central Student Advisory Service is an institution independent of the departments and examination offices and offers advice and information throughout the entire student life cycle.
- We are available for your personal concerns and, if necessary, individual problems related to your studies, such as support in starting your studies, organizing your studies, or individual study and learning planning.
- Together, we can work out problem-solving strategies and, if necessary, give you information about further counseling and support services within and outside the university.

International Office
- We advise and support TH OWL students who are interested in an exchange semester, an internship or a language course abroad.
- International students are supported by the International Office during the transition to living and learning studying in Germany.
- We offer advising appointments, language support, and international cultural events throughout the year.
- Our mission is to help students experience a semester abroad and to help foreign students make OWL and TH OWL their second home.
