Secondary auditors and guest students

Status as “a minor secondary auditor”

The status as a minor secondary auditor gives students from other universities the opportunity to attend certain courses in a similar degree program at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts and to take the corresponding examinations accompanying the degree program. The respective department decides on admission. The minor secondary auditor status is valid for one semester; an extension must be applied for again.

Application deadline:

The application must be submitted by the deadline of October 15 for the winter semester and March 15 for the summer semester with a current certificate of enrollment in the semester for which the secondary auditor status is being requested.

A copy of the university entrance qualification must also be submitted when applying for the first time.

Fee:

For the studies of students enrolled as secondary auditors according to § 52 Section 1 HG (so-called minor secondary auditors) a secondary auditor fee of 100,- € per semester is charged, if the university of enrollment is located outside North Rhine-Westphalia or if this university does not impose a fee obligation.

Application as minor secondary auditor

The status as a major secondary auditor gives students from other universities the opportunity to attend courses of a different degree program at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts and to obtain a corresponding bachelor's or master's degree. The department decides on admission.

Entrance requirements

The entrance requirements according to the examination regulations of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts – for example internships completed – must be fulfilled. Please refer to the websites of the respective department for more information. There you will also find the contact person of the respective examination board to which you must submit an application for a placement certificate.

The status as a major secondary auditor is valid for one semester each time, and renewal must be reapplied for.

Application deadline

The application must be submitted by October 15 for the winter semester and March 15 for the summer semester with a current certificate of enrollment in the semester for which the secondary auditor status is being requested.

When applying for the first time, a copy of the university entrance qualification and the placement certificate of the examination board must also be submitted.

Application as major secondary auditor

Status as a guest auditor

Students may apply for guest auditor status to attend individual courses. A university entrance qualification is not required for this. The courses must be approved by the respective lecturer on the application form.

Deadlines

The application must be submitted by October 15 for the winter semester and March 15 for the summer semester with the signatures of the lecturers and proof of payment.

Note: Guest students are not entitled to take examinations. Please consult with the department or the lecturer regarding a possible certificate of attendance.
