Industrial Food and Bioproduction
German-French degree program resulting in two qualifications/diplomas: Bachelor of Science and License Professionelle. Students complete a total of three semesters in their respective home and partner country. During their degree program, food science students deal with all phases of the food industry, from manufacturing to successful product marketing.
OWL University of Applied Sciences and the Institut Universitaire de Technologie Nancy-Brabois (IuT Nancy-Brabois) in France have maintained a cooperation for over 40 years. The German-French degree program in the department of Life Science Technologies at the TH OWL and the IuT Nancy Brabois is funded and supported by the Franco-German University in Saarbrücken.
Program elements are combined so that all students can take advantage of key course areas at both universities. The TH OWL offers specializations in the product areas of drinks, meat, baked goods and confectionery goods, and biotechnology, while the IuT Nancy offers intensive instruction on fundamental natural sciences principles and interdisciplinary qualifications, as well as training in the food quality and management areas. Courses and tests in Lemgo are held in German, while courses and tests in Nancy are held in French.

For a study start in the winter semester 2021/2022:
- April 15, 2021 until August 15, 2021
- Baked goods and confectionery technology
- Drink technology
- Meat technology.
The standard program length is six semesters. Students will complete three semesters at the TH OWL in Lemgo as well as three semesters at the IuT Nancy-Brabois. Courses and tests in Lemgo are held in German, while courses and tests in Nancy are held in French.
