The Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and the University of Paderborn jointly offers the Graduate School of Intelligent Systems in Automation Technology (ISA) at the Lemgo Innovation Campus. This is the first structured doctoral training program offered at the OWL University of Applied Sciences. Academics in the departments of Electrical engineering, Computer Sciences and Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn and the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) at the OWL University of Applied Sciences are involved in the doctoral program.

The graduate school is designed to foster basic research in intelligent and adaptive automation technologies through dissertation projects.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer science
• Mechatronics
• Electrical engineering
• Or a related area

They must have confirmations from their primary and secondary advisors.
