Traineeship
The OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts is a member of the Federal Association of University Communication and educates trainees according to its guidelines. As a trainee at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, you will learn about press communications and marketing through practical experience in everyday university life. In addition, you will also benefit from the "Volo Network" of the federal association. It connects the next generation of university communications departments and provides an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas on how to optimize education and training.

Our vocational training programs with dual studies
The OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL) also offers vocational training that can be combined with an academic degree program. In the course of this four-year dual study program, you will complete your studies parallel to your on-the-job training at TH OWL. During the first year, the focus is on training and getting to know the department or laboratory, after which you begin your studies.
After two and a half years, the vocational training is completed and you can concentrate fully on your studies. During the semester breaks and on days when there are no lectures, you gain practical experience in the respective department.

- The dual study program lasts a total of 4 years
- In the first year, the focus is on vocational training; the degree program begins afterward
- The apprenticeship lasts 2.5 years, and the degree program lasts 3 years
