Student Bodies

The student self-administration at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts consists of the Student Parliament (StuPa), the General Students´ Committee (AStA) and the student representatives of the respective departments.
In addition, students have the opportunity to get involved in various projects alongside their studies.
The student committees
The Student Parliament passes resolutions on the guidelines of student self-administration and its budget. The parliament is responsible for the control of the AStA and the election of its members and members in other bodies. The members of parliament are elected by all students of the university.

The General Students' Committee (AStA) implements the resolutions of the parliament and represents the student body of the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts externally. It consists of departments that are involved in various areas of university life. For example, it offers discounted writing materials, organizes events and parties and supports international students. The StuPa votes on the members at its meetings.
Each location of the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts has its own representative:
The student councils help the members of their department in their daily study routine. They are contact persons for problems and conflicts within the study programs and organize events and offers of the respective department, such as get-to-know-each-other evenings for first semester students. They are elected by the student council, i.e. by all students of a department.
