The Lemgo location is the largest campus of the (TH) OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL). It is part of the Innovation Campus Lemgo. Lemgo has 41,000 inhabitants, around 9 percent of whom are students. Many sports clubs, a region with recreational value, and a lively pub and cultural scene make up life beyond the campus.

Campus Bike

Want to get from the Innovation Campus to the city center quickly and conveniently? And without traffic jams? The Lemgo campus offers a new free service for students and employees of TH OWL: the Campus Bike.

To borrow a bike, you need to bring the rental form and ID (e.g., driver's license). The general terms and conditions of use apply.

The Detmold campus is home to courses related to construction and design. Due to its location on Emilienstraße, the campus is affectionately known as “Campus Emilie.”

Detmold has a population of 73,000. It is home to the Hermann Monument, the landmark of the East Westphalia-Lippe region, and Germany's largest open-air museum. A trip to Europe's oldest and most species-rich bird of prey sanctuary is also well worth it. With the state theater, several cinemas, and an extensive selection of pubs and many sports facilities, there is plenty to do in Detmold in your free time.

The Höxter campus offers courses in landscape architecture, environmental engineering, agriculture, and applied computer science. The botanical garden, which currently features over 1,800 species and varieties of trees, shrubs, and perennials, makes studying in Höxter particularly “green” and serves as a teaching park for students.

Höxter has over 30,000 inhabitants. A popular destination for excursions is Corvey Abbey, which was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in June 2014.

The BildungsCampus in Herford offers a bachelor's degree program in Digital Management Solutions (DiMS).

The former British barracks have been transformed into an innovative space for learning, teaching, working, and sharing knowledge.

The idea for this new, practice-oriented degree program was developed in collaboration with the city of Herford. The two cooperation partners are thus embarking on a new educational path nationwide. The program can be completed alongside a career or other lifelong activities.

Herford has around 66,000 inhabitants. It is one of the oldest cities in Westphalia, with a wide range of varied and innovative leisure and cultural activities. Herford beer is brewed here, and fashion labels such as bugatti and Brax are based here. With the Marta Museum, the city has one of the most unusual museum buildings in the world. The H2O leisure pool, the ice rink, or a canoe trip on the Werre river provide a pleasant balance to work life.

The BildungsCampus is about a 15-20 minute walk from Herford main station. There are also bus connections from the station directly to the nearby stop “Vlothoer Str./Kaserne.”

RailCampus OWL in Minden is another study location in which TH OWL is involved and, together with cooperation partners, offers students the opportunity to help shape the railway technology of the future.

RailCampus OWL is a newly created, unique location in Germany for research, development, and testing of new, forward-looking technologies for rail transport.

During your studies, you will benefit from the expertise of a wide range of partners from teaching, research, business, rail, and local government.

The project partners in this unique innovation network for a transport revolution in rail are: Bielefeld University, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, Paderborn University, and (TH) Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL), Deutsche Bahn with DB Systemtechnik and DB Cargo, as well as HARTING and WAGO, the city of Minden, and the district of Minden-Lübbecke.

The city, with a population of 82,000, offers a high recreational value. The Mittelland Canal meets the Weser River at the waterway intersection. The locks are always an experience. In addition to sights such as the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial, the cathedral, and the castle, the city also has several shopping opportunities to offer.
