The RailCampus OWL in Minden is a place for research, development and knowledge transfer as well as for study and further education with a focus on rail-based mobility. Together with partners throughout Germany and beyond, the RailCampus OWL is working on sustainable and socially relevant rail mobility. Core partners have joined forces in RailCampus OWL e. V. to develop this location together.

The RailCampus OWL provides an education for a new technological and digital age in rail transport. Students at the RailCampus OWL acquire railway skills and in-depth knowledge in digitalisation and mechatronics, combined with direct access to the railway system at the DB Systemtechnik in Minden. This ensures practical relevance in all fields. The four state universities, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, (TH) OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Bielefeld University and Paderborn University jointly offer a Bachelor‘s degree program that provides students with comprehensive knowledge of the technological requirements of intelligent rail and mobility systems.
